Friends and Family Day 2007

April 29, 2007 is our fourth Family and Friends Day.  The success of this special day comes as a result of each member working to invite friends and family for this period of study, worship and fellowship.

Most members at Grandview remember bother Dan Lightfoot who is our speaker. He has spoken here before on special occasions, and we are pleased to have him return to be with us for Family and Friends Day. The theme for this year’s program is “Living By Faith.” The combined adult class and Brother Lightfoot’s lesson will both focus on “living by faith.”

We encourage each member and family to pray about this activity, and to schedule their own activities to be a apart of the program on this day.

Here is the schedule for Friends and Family Day.

March 25: The invitations are ready, and the mailboxes have been set out for use. We are encouraging everyone to invite ten. You have seen the form Art Wallis has used in his “personal work” class, titled, ”Ten Most Wanted.” Members can work from this list to build their final invitation lists.
April 1: Another reminder will be published.
April 15: This date will be the deadline to return invitations [with the return address of the family/person offering the invitation, recipient’s address and unsealed.] We are asking you again to place an asterisk where the stamp would go to indicate the sender would like Art Wallis or the elders to send a note encouraging the recipients to accept the invitation.
April 16: The invitations mailed on Monday.
April 23: Note sent from Art or the elders.
April 29: Friends and Family Day.

Let us all pray about, let us all plan for, and let us all prepare for this special activity.
