Mission Mexico 2007: Ciudad Victoria
15 Zacatecas church of Christ, La Amelia church of Christ, and the 16 Septiembre church of Christ

THE TRIP: The Mission Mexico team will leave from the Machine Shed Restaurant at Living History Farms at 5:30 a.m. this Friday the 16th and stop in Missouri to pickup three other team members from Jamesport in Eagleville, and then two from Springfield in Kansas City. The team is expected to arrive in Bedford, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, at 6 p.m. The team will join the rest of the groups and spend the next 7 days in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico. The trip is expected to take 21 hours due to the border wait times. Please continue to pray for the safety and success of our team, Mike Richardson and Gaylen Manchester, who will be leading the teams; and the physical and spiritual work that will be undertaken while in Mexico.

TOOLS NEEDED: Many of you have indicated a willingness to donate tools for this work and Mike Richardson and I are so thankful for your help. This will save us several hundred dollars by not having to purchase new tools. As I stated last Sunday night the tools will last a very long time as the congregations take great care in what they have been given. If you have tools to give to the Mexico mission please bring them to the church building tonight or Wednesday and leave them in the Library area. I will pick them up on Wednesday night after Bible classes and prepare them for the trip with the team on Friday.

MARCH 14th MEETING: I would like to have a quick overview meeting on Wednesday night after Bible study for those that are interested in the trip details and to answer any questions you may have about the trip and times.

TEAM MEMBERS: Katie Albers (Ankeny), Stephen Albers (Ankeny), Tim Bailey, Bill Charlier, Robert Gordon, Rachel Johnson, Jesse Mort, and Don Thompson (Laings, Ohio).

Mary & Daniel Giengrich of Jamesport, Missouri, TeNeal and Katelyn Minks of Springfield, Missouri, and Fred and Dorothy Rhodes of Boone Street will also be traveling with our group to Dallas.

FINANCIAL GIFTS: I wanted to commend the congregation for their support in prayers and gifts for this trip to Mexico. The outpouring of gifts and kind words is such an overwhelming result of your love for God’s work and the team that has committed their time to this mission. As of today we have $3,975 of the $4,900 needed for the trip.

Thank you again for your support!
Darin Thompson
